Biography

Attorney Devon A. Newton received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Greensboro College, where he majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology with a minor in Political Science. Attorney Newtown received his Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2019. He is now practicing Criminal Defense law in Durham and Raleigh NC.

Prior to practicing law, Attorney Newtown was a Collegiate Football player. He played WR on the Greensboro College Football Team. Growing up, his father was a Marine Corps Solider which forced him to move every 3 years. Attorney Newton was able to experience different cultures as he lived in Okinawa Japan from 2003-2006. He lived in various states and countries, where he was able to explore and attend courses, which helped him create a more global opinionated view on situations.

Attorney Newton has taken his experiences and used them to help create a compassionate climate with his clients, while keeping a competitive edge to fight for them. Primarily focused on Criminal Defense, helping individuals accused of serious crimes so that they can spend less time in jail and more time with their loved ones, gives Attorney Newton the motivation to advocate zealously for anyone who hires him.

Attorney Newton continues to give back to the community in North Carolina where he represents numerous protestors on a Pro Bono basis. Additionally, he is involved with the Alzheimer's Association where he Volunteers as a Head Coach for Team Bru.
